Now as then people had different destinies. There were rich and poor, good and evil, heroes and cowards. A different day, a different destiny. Some people's lives consisted of parties, theaters, movies, and travel, while others sat in prisons or begged for bread near church. When conducting a genealogical study, it is necessary to check various sources, including those in which records of their ancestors would not want to see. However, this is also someone's story…

Today we publish a list of prostitutes who worked in Lutsk in 1931-32. Many of them lost their parents in a child age having nothing in their hands. Most were born outside Lutsk. The city authorities regularly checked their health and even paid for the treatment for infectious diseases, which took place in the hospital of St. Joseph in Lublin (Poland).

The names are written in Polish language. In parentheses we show a year of birth, names of parents or other relatives.
